A search warrant, executed by Halton Regional Police in Kitchener on Wednesday, has resulted in the arrest of two people in connection with a rash of armed robberies that happened across the Greater Toronto Area.

Police say a 14-year-old boy from Toronto was taken into custody.

He faces a total of 25 charges including robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent and failing to comply with a probation order.

The charges stem from four robberies in Milton, Halton Hills, Oakville and Georgetown.

A Kitchener woman was also arrested when police executed the warrant.

21-year-old Emma Cassidy is accused of uttering a forged document.

Earlier this month, three men were arrested in Mississauga as part of the investigation.
