Farwell4Hire campaign announces first early bird prize winner

An exciting day for the Farwell4-Hire campaign!

The first early bird prize winner for the Farwell4Hire 50/50 draw has been announced!

Eric Wilson has won $2,500 dollars courtesy of TLC Pet Food.

Wilson was announced the winner on the Mike Farwell Show just after 12 p.m. Friday afternoon.

The next early bird prize draw is Friday, June 12 at 12 p.m. and the prize is $1,500 courtesy of Better Business Bureau.

The grand prize draw is at the end of the month on June 30. The guaranteed take home prize is $10,000.

The campaign, in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada, as of Friday afternoon has already reached over $28,000 for the take home prize.

As part of the Farwell4Hire campaign, like every year, Mike Farwell will be at events around the region all weekend long.

Those include:

  • The Age Oak on Queen Street in Hespeler on Friday night from 6 until 9 p.m.
  • The TSG Kitchen on Snyder’s Road in Baden on Saturday night from 5 until 7 p.m.
  • Deep-fried asparagus with Barrie’s Asparagus and the Schmuck Truck on Kings Road in Cambridge on Sunday afternoon from 12 until 3 p.m.

In case you needed another reason to support the campaign, 570’s Mike Farwell has promised to abstain from eating a single butter tart until the take home prize reaches $35,000.
