With the Christmas holidays underway you can expect a number of closures and service disruptions in Waterloo Region.
Municipal services will not be operating on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
Grand River Transit is running on Christmas holiday service from December 23 to January 5, 2020. You can check out www.grt.ca for more details.
There will be no waste collection on Christmas Day or New Year's Day, so if your day is normally Wednesday it will move to Thursday this week and next.

If your collection day is Monday and Tuesday it stays the same. If your pick up day is Wednesday it moves to Thursday – Thursday moves to Friday – and Friday moves to Saturday.
Double garbage days: Double your limit of garbage bags or cans will be collected for two weeks, the weeks of December 23 and January 6 in Kitchener and the townships, and the weeks of December 30 and January 13 in Cambridge and Waterloo, on your regularly scheduled garbage collection day.
Special Christmas tree collection will be for two weeks, January 6 to 17, 2020, in all areas of the region, on your regular weekly waste collection day.
