The Kitchener Dutchmen have inched a little closer to GOJHL history.
The Dutchies won their 23rd consecutive game last night, defeating Guelph 5-3.
Keli Grant and Dylan Bursey had two goals a piece, while defenceman John Divo chipped in with two assists.
Kitchener has not lost since a 2-1 setback to Elmira on September 15th.
The Caledonia Corvairs, who started the season 24-and-0, lost their first game Saturday.
That leaves the Dutchies alone in pursuit of the Stratford Cullitons provincial junior record of 25 straight wins, set in 1985-86.
Meantime, Dutchies netminder Marc Williams has been named the Midwestern Conference’s Goalie of the Month.
Williams posted a .958 save percentage during the month of November.
