Kitchener hosts virtual ‘Grant Writing Workshop’ for LoveMyHood

The City of Kitchener is encouraging more people to get involved in their “LoveMyHood” program. As a result, they are asking residents to share their ideas and join in a workshop to learn how they can make positive changes in their communities.
The city has announced they they will be hosting a free virtual workshop to help teach people how they can apply for a matching grant through LoveMyHood. The workshop is free, and organizers say that participants will learn how they can make a strong application.
People in the community that are interested in taking part will need to register online. The workshop is on Zoom for Sept. 23, from 7 p.m., to 8:30 p.m.
The city says this workshop is the perfect time to learn about the process, with time to ask questions included.
What is LoveMyHood?
In the workshops release, Kitchener says that their LoveMyHood Matching Grant helps residents in the community turn ideas into reality.
The matching grants provide funding for many possible resident projects and ideas. As an example, the city lists things like street parties, little libraries, and community art to give residents some ideas. Finally, Kitchener says the goal of the LoveMyHood Matching Grant is to help residents build a stronger connection within their neighbourhoods.
