Investigation underway after reported shooting in Waterloo

The Waterloo Regional Police Service says they are investigating reports of a shooting after responding to a call on July 26th at 12:15 a.m.

When officials arrived, they say they found a male with a gunshot wound on Marshall Street.

The 31-year-old man was transported to hospital with what police say are serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they believe that the parties involved were known to each other.

The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit. 

There will be an increased police presence in the area as officers canvass for witnesses and gather additional information.
