Man arrested on drug trafficking charges in Kitchener

On July 8th, 2026, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a male with drug trafficking charges through an ongoing investigation in the Wilson Avenue and Forth Avenue area.

The 19 year-old man from Kitchener is now facing two drug trafficking related charges:

• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts) 

As a part of the investigation, officials say they seized a vehicle and completed a search warrant, where police say they seized suspected cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, and currency.

WRPS’ Crime Suppression, Analysis, and Response (CSAR) Unit is committed to reducing crime and enhancing public safety through problem-oriented enforcement, targeted crime suppression, and prioritization of prevention and proactive measures for complex mental health and youth-related challenges.

Police say this arrest comes as a part of an ongoing crime suppression initiative.
