Man arrested on drug trafficking charges in Kitchener

On July 8th, 2026, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a male with drug trafficking charges through an ongoing investigation in the Wilson Avenue and Forth Avenue area.
The 19 year-old man from Kitchener is now facing two drug trafficking related charges:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts)
As a part of the investigation, officials say they seized a vehicle and completed a search warrant, where police say they seized suspected cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, and currency.

Police say this arrest comes as a part of an ongoing crime suppression initiative.
