Decorative plants worth estimated $2,000 – $5,000 stolen in Guelph

Guelph police are investigating an incident where a business owner saw and reported a woman trying to steal many potted plants.
The owner of the south-end Guelph business says that as they were getting ready to start work for the day, around 8:30 a.m., they saw a woman on the property.
She had loaded a wide variety of plants onto a cart, and when talking to the owner of the business, she claimed that she was planning on purchasing the cartload of plants before leaving to get cash.
The owner of the business says that after the woman left, they found multiple pots and plants that had been used for display located around the parking lot.
It was later found that there was an estimated $2,000 – $5,000 of product that was taken from the business.
The woman seen at the business is described as mid 60s with brown hair, white, and wearing a puffy black Spyder jacket, blue jeans, and running shoes.
