Cambridge man charged after stabbing man and dog Friday night

A Cambridge man is facing multiple charges following a stabbing incident that occurred Friday night in Cambridge.

Police received reports of the incident Saturday morning at roughly 11 a.m. of an altercation that occurred at a home near Harris Street and Maple Ridge Road.

During the altercation, police say a man stabbed another man, who suffered minor physical injuries, as well as a dog.

The dog suffered significant injuries and was taken to a local animal hospital, and is expected to recover.

A 68-year-old Cambridge man has been arrested and is now facing multiple charges.

He’s charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and injury to an animal.
