An arena in Cambridge is temporarily closed.
The City of Cambridge announced Friday that Dickson Arena had to close its doors because of a sewer issue.
The public skate scheduled for Friday afternoon was shifted to Karl Homuth Arena on Hamilton Street.
All programs that are scheduled to take place Sunday at the Dickson Arena will be held at Karl Homuth Arena instead.
“We apologize for any inconvenience,” the City said in a release.
A Cambridge spokesperson confirmed the sewer issue is a broken pipe that caused a backup, and is not related to the recent significant snowmelt.
Dickson Arena is expected to reopen Tuesday, Jan. 13.
