Pizza delivery driver threatened with gun, knife in Waterloo

A pizza delivery driver was threatened at gunpoint in Waterloo on Monday, prompting an investigation from regional police.

According to officials, the incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. at a building on Albert Street near Quiet Place.

The driver was delivering a pizza to the building when they were approached by the three suspects.

The suspects threatened the driver and demanded their vehicle. One of the suspects took out a gun, and another brandished a knife.

According to police, the trio of suspects weren’t able to take the driver’s vehicle because the victim’s car was stick shift and the suspects were unable to drive it.

After failing to steal the vehicle, the suspects took off on foot from the area, running towards Weber Street North.

Nobody was injured in the incident and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or footage of the incident is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777, ext. 6399.
