Police investigating hate-motivated assault in Waterloo

Regional police are investigating a hate-motivated assault that took place in Waterloo on Sunday morning.

According to the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS), a man was leaving an establishment in the area of King Street North and Bridgeport Road East at around 2 a.m. when he was approached by three men.

They were heard yelling racial comments, and one of the men reportedly physically assaulted the victim.

There were no physical injuries reported as a result of the incident.
