Unlicensed motorcyclist evades police in Kitchener: WRPS

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is trying to track down a motorcyclist.

Police tried to pull over the biker on Wednesday afternoon in the Lackner Boulevard and Fairway Road area after their automated licence plate recognition system determined the motorcycle had no insurance, and the registered owner was unlicensed.

“The driver indicated that they would not stop, drove into the officer’s lane of traffic, overtook another vehicle, and fled the area,” read a release from WRPS.

A police pursuit was not initiated due to public safety concerns.

The motorcycle is believed to be a Honda CBR 200-300cc.

The motorcyclist is described as a male who was wearing blue jeans, a black tank top, and light-coloured Gucci-style shoes with green and red stripes. He also had a skull tattoo on his upper right arm.

Police have released photos with hopes of identifying the biker. If you recognize him, or have any relevant dash cam video, let police know at 519-570-9777 ext. 8856. Anonymous tips can be left with Crime Stoppers.
