Cambridge man charged in connection with Woolwich stabbing

A Cambridge man is facing several charges following a stabbing in Woolwich Township.

The incident happened shortly after 12 a.m. Thursday, in the area of Dolman Street and Woolwich Street South.

The victim, a 17-year-old male, was taken to a hospital outside of the region with non-life-threatening injuries.

An 18-year-old man faces charges including aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Correction: Police had originally identified the township as Wilmot. Stabbing occurred in Woolwich Township.
