Driver charged following Weber Street crash in Kitchener (update)

Update:
Weber Street East between Frederick and Stirling was reopened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say one person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Through their investigation, police determined the 41-year-old male driver allegedly fell asleep while operating their vehicle, causing them to lose control and swerve into oncoming traffic, colliding with a retaining wall and hydro police, rolling several times.
That driver has since been charged with careless driving.

Police have closed a portion of Weber Street East in Kitchener.
It's due to a collision. Police say a vehicle hit a hydro pole in the area on Tuesday morning.
Weber is closed between Frederick Street and Stirling Avenue.
No other details have been released at this time.
Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro is also not reporting an outage in the area as a result of the crash.
