Jury selection begins in Imagine Adoption case

Opening statements are expected to be delivered this morning at the Imagine Adoption case in Kitchener.

Jury selection started Monday, it’s anticipated the trial will last two weeks.

Former Cambridge couple, Rick and Susan Hayhow are charged with eight counts of fraud after the agency declared bankruptcy in 2009.

400 Canadian families were left in limbo regarding their money and future children.

It’s alleged before the couple split, they used over $400,000 for personal use, including leased vehicles, home renovations and family vacations that were allegedly billed to the non-profit adoption agency.
