Doon neighbourhood sees second home break-in this month

Two reported home break-ins just weeks apart.
Waterloo regional police are investigating another residential break-and-enter in Kitchener’s Doon neighbourhood this month.
The first case was back over the Civic Holiday long weekend, and now another reported break-in Thursday in the area of Waterbridge Court and Windrush Trail.
In this latest case, police said the suspect smashed the patio door glass to get inside.
“As part of the investigation, officers are asking residents and motorists who were in the area and may have dash camera, residential security camera, or other video footage to review their recordings and submit any relevant footage,” said police.
“Police are particularly interested in footage captured between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on August 20.”
The areas police are focused on include Windrush Trail, Waterbridge Court, Doon South Drive, and Doon Village Road.
Police recommend keeping all windows and doors locked, install alarm systems, and put up security cameras at the back and front of your home to help deter potential thieves.
