Police investigating Kitchener hit-and-run involving cyclist

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating a collision after officials say a cyclist was hit by a vehicle.

Officers say the collision was at the Highland Road West and Westmount Road West intersection. The incident happened on Sept. 30, with emergency responders arriving in the area at roughly 4 p.m.

A 17-year-old boy from Kitchener was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle did not stay in the area after the collision, police believe a blue Ford F-150 was the vehicle involved.

Waterloo police say the investigation is still ongoing by their Traffic Services Unit.
