Downtown Kitchener welcomes Kidspark and Far East Asian Night Market

A busy weekend, and jam-packed Sunday, is ahead in downtown Kitchener.

Both KidsPark and the Far East Asian Night Market return to the downtown core.

KidsPark is a free afternoon festival for families to enjoy live music and numerous activities for the kids.

Those activities include inflatable obstacle courses, live pirate and dinosaur shows, a sports zone, face painting, train rides, and the opportunity to sit in some mighty construction machines.

The live music includes performances by Erick Traplin, a sing-along with Moana, Maui, Elsa and Anna, Paw Patrol live, and Rumi’s K-pop dance party.

The full schedule can be found here.

The event runs in Victoria Park Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Far East Asian Night Market takes over the east end of the downtown core Sunday afternoon/evening from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

More than 50 food and retail vendors will be set up along King Street East from Cedar Street through to Frederick Street.

Live performances and interactive experiences celebrating Asian cultures will also be featured.

The event is free to attend and is put on by the Downtown Kitchener BIA.
