Performance highlighting Rachel Carson wraps up in Kitchener

The story of a popular environmental writer will see its last performance in Kitchener on Sunday.

Directed by Steven Elliott Jackson, the show hopes to give the audience a look into the life of Rachel Carson.

This isn’t the first time the show will be available to watch in Kitchener, performing Thursday, July 30, and Friday, Saturday, Sunday over the past two weeks.

In the description of the event, they encourage anyone interested in learning what her life was like to make the trip, saying:

“Join us for an untold story of one woman facing the obstacles of a lifetime while working to save this world in the play, Rachel Carson!”

Writing what they believe to be some of the most loved books about the ocean and sea life. The show focuses on her life around 1957, while she was writing “silent springs” and the hidden struggles that she dealt with.

The organizers describe the show as Rachel Carson writing some of the most important environmental books through the 20th century, while enduring life changing times.

The show will be on display at the Registry Theatre in Kitchener at 3 p.m.

Regular tickets are $30, while Student/senior/arts workers tickets will be $25.
