Sunny skies head into the region after stormy weekend

Waterloo Region will get to enjoy some clear and sunny skies after a weekend filled with clouds and rainfall.
It will be a great opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the Civic Holiday with Environment Canada predicting warm and clear skies carrying into late this week.
Monday
Skies are expected to clear into the afternoon, with winds moving northwest at 20km/h gusting to 40. The high is 25 degrees, and there’s a humidex of 29. The UV index for your Civic Holiday is seven.
Overnight, skies will stay clear, Environment Canada saying temperatures will drop to a low of 10 degrees.
Tuesday
Similar conditions will carry into Tuesday, with clear and sunny skies expected throughout the day. You may want to carry sunscreen with you if you’re going to be outdoors, with Tuesdays projected high of 27 degrees. That will bring a humidex of 30, and a UV index of nine.
Those clear skies will stick around overnight and into tomorrow; the low overnight is 11 degrees.
Wednesday
Environment Canada predicts that more clear and sunny skies will continue into Wednesday, with a projected high of 28 degrees.
Overnight skies will stay clear, with some clouds rolling into Thursday morning. Temperatures will drop to a low of 15 degrees.
Rest of the week:
There is a chance of some more rainfall hitting the region towards the end of the week. Environment Canada predicts a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 25 degrees through Thursday, and a 30 per cent chance of rain on with temperatures reaching a high of 26 on Friday.
