August afternoon garden party set to bloom in Kitchener

The City of Kitchener is inviting residents to an afternoon garden party, giving people a chance to see and ask questions about some of our local gardens.
the City of Kitchener’s Love My Hood Community Garden program and the Kitchener in Bloom garden recognition program have partnered with local gardeners to highlight what community gardens are.
Guests will be able to:
- Ask questions to experienced gardeners
- Explore a community garden
- Participate in family activities
- Connect with the community
In the events news release, they say the goal of the event is to celebrate local gardeners’ efforts, while growing community connections and Kitchener’s garden programs.
With over 40 community gardens throughout Kitchener, events like this hope to see that number increase.
The event will be held on Aug 8th, and doors will be open from 1 p.m. to 3p.m., at the Queens Green Community Garden.
