Lincoln Navigator continues to be popular target for auto thefts

The Guelph police have continued to receive numerous reports of stolen vehicles, they say Lincoln Navigators are a top target.
There was a white 2025 Navigator reported stolen Wednesday morning by a resident just off of Downey Rd. Police say the vehicle was later recovered in the Peel Region.
Then, Thursday morning police say another black 2025 Navigator was reported stolen by a resident in the south-end area. Officials are unsure if the thefts are related.
Friday morning, shortly before 6 a.m. a resident in the Woodland Glen Dr. area reported their vehicle stolen. The black 2025 Navigator was taken from the homeowners driveway. Where security video shows two people arriving in the area around 3:30 a.m.
That same morning, a Blue Ford F250 was reported stolen in the Kortright Road West and Rickson Avenue area. Police say the truck was stolen overnight, and was still attached to a trailer carrying a personal watercraft.
That Friday, officials recovered a 2026 Mercedes that was stolen in May from a business on Woodlawn Rd. at the Port of Montreal.

The Guelph Police Service encourages residents to take steps to protect themselves from auto theft. This can include parking indoors when possible or in well-lit areas, ensuring vehicle doors and windows are closed and locked, employing anti-theft devices to prevent vehicles from being started or steered and using devices to block signals from electronic keys. Please report suspicious activity around unattended vehicles, especially during overnight hours.
