The Sun Life Waterloo Busker Carnival is back!
The annual event brings dozens of performers to Uptown Waterloo, attracting thousands of visitors from around Waterloo Region and beyond.
This year, those attending the festival from Thursday-Sunday (August 27-30), can once again expect circus acts, comedy, fire performances and live music.
The busker carnival has been a local favourite in Waterloo Region since 1989. It is run by volunteers, and is free to attend.
Carnival organizers are asking attendees to bring some cash for the performers to show their appreciation, noting anything from $2 to $20 is a common amount to give.
“Busking is one of the most honest forms of entertainment,” said the group.
“You watch the show first and tip based on how much you enjoyed it. Our performers rely on those tips to earn a living, so if a show made you laugh, cheer, or stare in awe, we encourage you to show your appreciation.”
The full schedule of performances can be found here.
