Man arrested in downtown sexual assault case

Waterloo regional police have made an arrest in a sexual assault case from downtown Kitchener last month.

On June 30, police were contacted about an assault in the King Street West and College Street area of the city.

This past week, investigators released photos of a man they were looking to speak with.

Nearly a month after the reported assault, a man in his thirties has been charged with both assault and sexual assault causing bodily harm.

The 33-year-old accused is from Kitchener.

Police are still asking anyone with information on the case to contact them.
