Charges laid in UW voyeurism incident

A man is now facing charges in connection with a voyeurism incident reported on the University of Waterloo campus.

It was back in late May when regional police say a woman reached out to the service, saying she had spotted a man following her around campus and taking photographs of her.

At the time, police had released images of a man they were looking to identify and speak with in connection with the incident.

Providing an update on Wednesday, police have confirmed they’ve arrested a 47-year-old Waterloo man. He now faces charges including voyeurism and criminal harassment.

The accused will appear in court on Sept. 14.
