Kitchener driver charged after crash near Rockwood

A Kitchener driver has been charged after a two-vehicle crash near Rockwood sent two people to hospital.

It happened around 6:45 a.m. Sunday on Wellington Road 44.

Wellington County OPP provided no details about what caused the crash, saying only one driver and one passenger were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Their condition is unknown at this time.

The 20-year-old from Kitchener was charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

They face a $490 fine and six demerit points.
