A stash of drugs and weapons was seized by police after an investigation in Kitchener.
A statement sent out on Tuesday evening from the Waterloo Regional Police Service announced they had executed a search warrant on Jan. 16, in the area of Victoria Street North and Forfar Avenue.
Officials said they found and seized drugs that are believed to be cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, oxycodone and morphine.
They said their officers also found weapons, including a machete and an axe, along with ammunition, but police made no mention of any firearms being found at the scene.
They also found an unspecified amount of cash and some identity documents.
A 45-year-old Kitchener man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested.
Their charges include several counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, along with weapon and probation-related charges.
The WRPS Emergency Response Team assisted North Division investigators in carrying out the search warrant.
