KW Titans lose to the Windsor Express, third loss on the season

For only the third time this season, the KW Titans fell short of the win, as the Windsor Express cruised to a 111-96 victory on Saturday.
The Express took control early with a 30-17 lead at the end of the first quarter. KW brought the score closed by half time, outscoring their opponent 28-24, but still trailed 54-45. It was here the Titans failed to catch up, with Windsor outscoring them in the third and fourth quarters.
Tarkus Ferguson led the way for the Titans, scoring 28 points off the bench, including seven rebounds and four assists. James Towns also made his presence on the court, scoring 24 points, with four assists.
On the other side of the ball, all of Windsor’s starters amassed most of their points, with Latin Davis leading the way with 25 points, with five rebounds and nine assists.
Even with the loss, the Titans remain one of the better teams in the Basketball Super League. Currently, they stand at a 7-3 record, giving them second place behind the Sudbury Five. Windsor on the other hand improves to a 3-5 record, for fourth place in the five-team league.
The Titans will look to get even with the Express on Sunday when they welcome them to the Kitchener Aud for the Super Hero Game, raising funds for Children’s Miracle Network.
