Electronics stolen in smash-and-grab thefts at local businesses

Waterloo regional police continue to investigate a series of smash-and-grab-style thefts at local businesses where electronics were stolen.

Initially, police highlighted one incident that was reported in Kitchener on Jan. 18 around 7:15 a.m. in the Kingsway Drive area.

Police said an unknown number of suspects were involved and they stole multiple electronics from the store, including smartwatches, tablets, and televisions.

Police later provided an update, saying there have been multiple smash-and-grab thefts at various businesses, and released photos of suspects who were captured on surveillance video.
