Two women hurt in stabbing at Cambridge hotel

Regional police continue to search for a male suspect after an argument that turned into a stabbing at a hotel in Cambridge, and are looking to identify and speak to a man in connection to the assault.

It was on Tuesday night, around 9:20 p.m., when police responded to a hotel in the area of Hespeler and Pinebush roads in Cambridge for a reported assault.

It’s alleged that a man was involved in that dispute with two women. Investigators said that during the exchange, the suspect assaulted both women with an edged weapon before fleeing the area.

Both victims received non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to out-of-region hospitals to receive treatment.

Police confirmed to 570 NewsRadio this was a targeted attack.

Police are now looking for a Black male suspect in his 30s, described as being between 5’7″ and 5’8″ tall. He’s said to have an average build and a moustache, and was seen during the incident wearing a hoodie along with a brown jacket and blue pants.

Police have since released photos of a man they’re looking to speak to in relation to the incident.
