Kitchener school to reopen Wednesday following water main break

Stanley Park Public School is set to reopen Wednesday Dec 3. after a water main break on Tuesday forced the school to close for the day.

The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) alerted the public to the closure on Tuesday morning, which would impact students’ ability to attend school that day.

Students at Stanley Park PS learned through their virtual learning environment for the day as the school’s water supply needed to be shut off.

A representative with Kitchener Utilities told CityNews Kitchener Hickson Road had to be closed between Inlet Avenue and River Road East for repairs to be completed.
