Conestoga Station reopens with significant upgrades

Bus commuters in Waterloo will soon be able to return to the platforms at Conestoga Station.

Grand River Transit closed the station back in June to make way for construction, moving commuters over to a temporary station north of SportChek.

Since then, it has undergone significant upgrades, including repaving the old, cracked pavement, adding a fresh coat of white paint to the crosswalks and shelters, and additional seating.

The station will also be a little bit safer thanks to the addition of lighting and security cameras.

Each shelter will also be equipped with passenger information displays, as well as a fare vending machine.

Conestoga Station is set to reopen on Friday.
