Sunshine and steins: Humid weekend ahead

It’s set to be the perfect weekend for the lederhosen and dirndls.

As Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest continues in the region, so does the sunshine and warmer weather.

Starting Friday, Mother Nature is bringing in some hot weather with daytime highs reaching the mid to upper twenties and humidex values in the low thirties.

Saturday and Sunday could reach 27 C, feeling like 31 with the humidex.

But don’t get too used to it said 570 NewsRadio Meteorologist Carl Lam.

“The warm air is going to stay in place all the way until about Tuesday, and then a cold front will start to approach the region,” said Lam.

“Behind it is much cooler air, so enjoy these very warm temperatures while they last because they are not sticking around for a very long time.”

The normal daytime high for the beginning of October is closer to 16 C.
