Senior hurt, driver charged in Guelph pedestrian collision

Guelph Police have charged a driver after a collision sent a woman in her 70s in hospital.

Police confirmed to 570 NewsRadio it happened a little before 3:30, Sunday afternoon, at Kortright Road West and Ironwood Road, just east of the Hanlon Parkway.

Initial information was that the senior suffered an injury to her leg and was taken to hospital.

Police said the driver was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.

No other details about the driver and the victim were immediately available.
