Dirt bike driver hurt in crash on the edge of Cambridge

A dirt bike driver was sent to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the edge of Cambridge on holiday Monday afternoon.

It was around 4:10 p.m. when the Waterloo Regional Police Service responded to that crash on Dundas Street North, just southeast of Branchton Road in Cambridge.

Police confirmed to 570 NewsRadio that the driver of the bike, a 20-year-old from Cambridge, suffered serious injuries.

They were airlifted to an out-of-region hospital.

The driver of the other involved vehicle, a 21-year-old man from Hannon, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Dundas was closed between Branchton and Vanier Drive during the police investigation at the scene.

There’s been no mention of any charges expected or how exactly the crash happened.
