A cell phone and electronics store in Waterloo was hit by four allegedly armed robbers in broad daylight.
Waterloo regional police said it happened around 4 p.m., Tuesday, on Hemlock Street, just north of University Avenue West.
Police said four masked male suspects damaged the front door to get inside, then brandished weapons and stole cell phones before fleeing the scene. No one was hurt.
Officials did not specify the type of weapons used.
There are no suspect descriptions at this time.
A sign on the front window of Waterloo Cell Phones & Electronics, Wednesday morning, says “Due to the robbery incident, we are closed for 2-3 days. We’ll open soon.”
Shards of glass could still be seen on the sidewalk in front of the store, and the glass of the front door had been replaced with plywood.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
