Six suspects attempt jewellery store theft

An attempted robbery of a jewelry store at Conestoga Mall is under investigation by regional police.
At roughly 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1 six suspects went into the mall and approached a jewelry store, but fled the scene when a security guard intervened.
The six suspects are all male, and their descriptions are as follows:
- Suspect 1: Male, wearing a black hoodie, black jogging pants, black face mask, white shoes, and white gloves
- Suspect 2: White male, wearing a grey Adidas hoodie, black pants, black face mask, and black shoes. This suspect was the driver of the stolen Honda Civic.
- Suspect 3: Male, wearing a grey hoodie, black jogging pants, black mask, white shoes, and black gloves
- Suspect 4: Male, wearing black clothing
- Suspect 5: Male, wearing a black jacket with a white fur hood, black pants, and black shoes
- Suspect 6: Male, wearing a black hoodie, black jogging pants, black face mask, white shoes, and white gloves

All the suspects fled in a grey Honda Civic that had been stolen earlier that day in Toronto. The vehicle has since been recovered outside of Waterloo Region.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
