Kitchener Rangers still undefeated in 2025 after overtime victory over Guelph

The Kitchener Rangers remain undefeated in 2025, extending their win streak to six with a 4-3 win over the Storm in Guelph on Sunday.

Kitchener forward Luca Romano potted home the overtime winner to give the Rangers their fifth consecutive win over their rivals down Highway 7.

Romano snapped a 12-game scoreless streak with the crucial overtime game-winner, netting his 15th of the season.

“While he didn’t score a goal, he was getting scoring chances, and goal scorers eventually get out of their slump,” said 570’s Colour Commentator Paul Fixter about Romano after the game.

Kitchener remains in third place in the OHL, two points back of the league-leading Winsor Spitfires.

The Blueshirts will take the week off before lacing up to play the Brampton Steelheads at The Aud on Friday.
