Two arrested and charged after armed robbery in Woolwich

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two people after a robbery in Woolwich.
The incident happened Friday night around 10 p.m. in the Farmers Market Road and King Street North area. Officers say two suspects were at a business attempting to steal items when a staff member went up to one of the suspects.
A knife was pulled out and threats were made towards the employee. The employee then called the police.
When officers arrived they quickly found the two suspects and placed them under arrest.
A 45-year-old man and 43-year-old woman are facing multiple charges including robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats to cause death, and theft under $5,000.
The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
They will appear in court next month.
