15-year-old charged with assault after incident caught on camera in Guelph

A 15-year-old girl is now facing charges after an assault was caught on camera in Guelph, officials said in a press release.
Wednesday night around 7 p.m., Guelph Police were told a group of girls came up to a pair of friends near Stone Road Mall, in the Scottsdale Drive and Wilsonview Avenue area.
They were said to all know each other.
According to police, one of the girls started punching another girl, while someone else filmed the assault, and prevented the victim from getting away.
The victim later called police.
She was said to have minor injuries but did not go to hospital.
A 15-year-old girl was later arrested at her home. She was also under two release orders that specified she was not allowed to associate with one of the girls who filmed the incident.
She has since been charged with assault and failing to comply with two release orders.
