Motorcyclist hurt after vehicle passes on Kitchener residential street

A motorcycle driver was sent to hospital after a collision in Kitchener that police involved a vehicle passing the bike on a busy street.

It happened soon after 1:30, Sunday afternoon, on Kingsway Drive at Cedarwoods Crescent, behind Fairview Park Mall.

Waterloo Regional Police tell 570 NewsRadio there was a collision when a red vehicle passed a Harley Davidson motorcycle in the eastbound lane on Kingsway.

The 70-year-old man from Kitchener driving the motorcycle was sent to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision was serious enough for investigators to send up the police drone for aerial photos for evidence.

The 66-year-old man from Goderich driving the other vehicle was not hurt.

Police are still investigating, and have not said yet if any charges are going to be laid.
