Man tries to steal electronics from Kitchener store, assaults staff members

Three staff members at a store in Kitchener were assaulted when a man tried to steal electronics last week.

The attempted theft happened around 7:50 p.m. on Jan. 26 in the Fischer-Hallman Road and Highland Road area.

According to police, a man entered a business and tried to steal multiple electronic devices.

Three workers were assaulted in the attempted theft but there were no physical injuries.

The suspect’s heist attempt was unsuccessful and he fled the scene.

He is described as being Black, between 20 and 30-years-old, around 6 feet tall, with a slim build. The suspect was wearing a grey vest, black pants, a black knee-length jacket, and grey shoes.

Police continue to investigate.
