New charges have been laid against a local teacher in connection with a sexual assault investigation.
In March, police announced that a 52-year-old Wilmot man had been charged with eight counts of sexual assault and sexual interference. It related to allegations that multiple youths were sexually assaulted by a male suspect.
At the time, police confirmed the man was a teacher at a senior public school in the Forest Hills area of Kitchener. The school has not been named.
The accused has now been identified as Kahlil Deep. Police announced Tuesday that he is facing two additional counts of sexual assault and sexual interference relating to a report of historical sexual assaults involving a youth.
WRPS’ Youth Protection Unit has laid additional charges against a Kitchener teacher, Kahlil Deep, 52, from Wilmot Township, after receiving a report of historical sexual assaults.
