Hold and secure at Edna Staebler Public School lifted (update)

According to the Waterloo Region District School Board, the hold and secure at Edna Staebler Public School in Waterloo has now been lifted.
That hold and secure was put into place earlier on Tuesday afternoon, as the public school board said it had been enacted at the direction of Waterloo Regional Police due to a concern outside the school.
Posting a follow-up message on social media, the Waterloo Region District School Board offered its thanks to regional police for helping to keep students and the school community safe.
According to Waterloo Regional Police, residents may see officers in the nearby area of Erb Street West and Ira Needles Boulevard as they attempt to locate a man in the area – noting concern for that man's well-being.
