Kitchener, Cambridge and Waterloo high schools ranked in newly released report

How does your child’s high school compare with other schools around Waterloo Region?

You can find out, thanks to the Fraser Institute’s latest ranking of Ontario Secondary Schools.

The annual report card has been released and assigned a score out of 10 to each school.

These are some of top ranked schools in Waterloo Region:

  • Laurel Heights Secondary School – 8.4 (Waterloo, formally Sir John A Macdonald)
  • Père-René-de-Galinée – 7.8 (Cambridge)
  • Cameron Heights – 7.6 (Kitchener)

These are some of the lowest ranked schools in Waterloo Region:

  • Forest Heights – 4.7 (Kitchener)
  • Jacob Hespeler – 5.5 (Cambridge)
  • Waterloo Collegiate – 6.3 (Waterloo)

The report uses numbers from the province’s Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO).

The institute released elementary school rankings back in March.
