Regional police launch new recruitment campaign

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is excited to announce a new recruitment campaign aimed at attracting qualified candidates who are seeking a rewarding career as a police officer.
The campaign highlights the many exciting opportunities available at the Waterloo Regional Police Service – opportunities that will allow members to learn, grow, and succeed in a variety of different fields. It also highlights our commitment to working in partnership with the community to ensure everyone is safe and feels safe.
The campaign features real members in a series of videos, commercials, and digital ads that will be released throughout the next six months on social media and local theatres.
“We hope this campaign shows those considering a career in policing just how rewarding making that choice can be, specifically within the Waterloo Regional Police Service,” said Bryan Larkin, Chief of Police. “We are a progressive, dynamic police service that has a lot to offer – including the fact that we are part of a vibrant, growing community. We hope this campaign helps us attract diverse, talented, compassionate and caring individuals who aim for a lengthy career with WRPS.”
The videos, along with the campaign’s tagline – We are caring. We are compassionate. We are committed. We are People Helping People – is also highlighted on a new recruiting-focused website that provides applicants with information to prepare them for the hiring process.
