Kitchener residence shot at, suspects at large

Waterloo regional police officers were in the Doon neighbourhood of Kitchener Thursday investigating a shooting incident.

Police said around 3 a.m., shots were reportedly fired at a home on Doon Village Road.

No one was hurt, but those behind the alleged shooting are still at large. They drove away before police arrived.

“The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit, and there will be an increased police presence in the area throughout the day,” read a police release.

Police later released images of an individual who was captured on surveillance video, with hopes of identifying them.


They’re described as male with a thin build, between 5’7” and 5’10”, and was wearing light-coloured clothing, a mask, and dark-coloured shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Police also noted the incident is believed to be targeted.
