Storm damage at Mount Hope Cemetery in Waterloo

Waterloo Region was hit with severe weather on Tuesday.
Back-to-back severe thunderstorm warnings were issued, one in the afternoon and one in the evening.
At one point, a tornado warning was in place nearby in northern Wellington County.
Locally, the thunderstorms resulted in some power outages and damage.
The City of Waterloo said the system downed trees and led to monument damage at Mount Hope Cemetery.
The city's forestry team is working to clear any debris and cemetery staff will reportedly contact any impacted families to discuss repairs.
The City of Kitchener also announced that its ball diamonds are closed on Wednesday due to the overnight storm.
