Kitchener man charged in connection with stabbing

A 28-year-old Kitchener man has been charged in connection with a stabbing over the weekend.
Regional police responded to reports of a stabbing in Kitchener on Sunday night, in the area of Paulander Drive.
They say around 10:45 p.m. officers found a 56-year-old man with multiple stab wounds, and a 38-year-old man with injuries to his forearm.
Both sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and were transported to an out-of-region hospital to receive treatment.
Police say the 28-year-old Kitchener man was arrested, and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and uttering death threats. On Tuesday, police laid additional charges of attempted murder and weapons dangerous.
The man was also arrested on an outstanding warrant and held for a bail hearing, according to police.
The two men were known to each other.
